OCTOBER 2020
GREENSIDE CLASS COURSE SUSPENSION
As everyone is aware, last night (Mon 12th), a new Covid-19 3-tier system came into force and much of the North East was placed into the bracket ‘high’. After scrutinizing the associated legislation and guidance, taking into consideration the existing local lockdown measures and also after receiving additional advice from the Director of Public Health, Gateshead Council, I have taken the decision on behalf of Perfect Pawz! to suspend class courses once again at Greenside Community Centre.
Gateshead Council has advised that at this current time of rising Covid cases, all indoor group activities of any kind are not advisable and have taken the decision to suspend all group activities in council operated buildings in order to reduce transmission.
Greenside Community Centre is not Council owned, however we acknowledge the rationale and strong sentiment and feel that to continue at the moment against this advice would be irresponsible.
It is deeply frustrating to have to suspend courses for the second time in a year but as was the case the first time, I’m afraid our hands are tied & the welfare of our clients and wider community must be utmost priority.
Class courses will resume for those whose course is in mid-term (week 5/6 left of Starters & Next Steps) & start (new course of Starters 6pm/7pm) as soon as is practically possible and everybody will be kept informed either by email, facebook or private facebook members group. I’m hoping this will be a short period.
If you haven’t done so, I would recommend you join the private facebook members group (invite only for clients) so we can all keep a little more together, it worked well during the first lockdown, especially for those waiting to join us on courses!
Look forward to seeing everyone very soon!
