'DOGS IN SCHOOL' ASSESSMENTS

Thought About The Difference A Dog Could Make In Class?

DOGS AS THERAPY

We all know how fantastic dogs are, but now their benefits are being recognised in the classroom too.  They can help in the overall learning process, maintaining calm and befriending.

If you're a teacher with a dog which you think would be great for the job, why not consider having him or her assessed.

HOW TO GO ABOUT IT

Currently there's no official organization, unlike for instance WAG North East Friendship Dogs assessment for social care dogs.

You will need to check with your school's insurance to see if they have specific requirements over and above a standard assessment.

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

This is a rigorous but friendly assessment process which tests the suitability of the dog for a school environment, as you would expect. Assessment details are not provided until the day.  The process will not take longer than 30 minutes and so will not take up your valuable school time.  Full details will be provided when you book.

Following a successful submission, a cover letter will be provided for your insurance provider.
